9. THIRD VARIANT
The invited audience (20 persons approx.) gathered on one side of a field. On their right, 50 meters away from the viewers, one participant appeared, dressed in purple robe. He walked along a line parallel to viewers and lied down into a pit, thus disappearing from sight. Three minutes later his figure appeared from another pit, 30 meters to the left from the first one. He wore the same purple robe, but with a red balloon instead of head. He then pierced the balloon with a stick, and it burst into a cloud of white dust. The now headless man lied back to the pit from which he had appeared moments ago. At the same time he rose from the first pit (30 meters to the right), this time in casual clothes, and left for the woods in the same direction from which he had emerged in the beginning of the action.
