102. STAND-NEWSPAPER
Two boards were hung in trees at the edge of a field, one facing the other (approximately 600 meters distance apart). On the first board (100x100cm) was placed “The scheme of the viewers location on Kiovogorskoe field”; this noted all performances which had already taken place on the field and also noted the current performance -“The wall newspaper”.
On the second board (colored black, 160x115 cm) and under the white-letter inscription: “The wall newspaper of Kiovogorskoe field #102”, were placed pages with the following materials (this board was hung in the same area, where the 1977 action “Comedy” took place):
- Map of the outskirts of Kiovogorskoe field together with Institute of Agriculture named after Williams, scale 1cm=250m (31х28,3 см).
- Copy of “Swift and Co” essay from volume 38 of The Big Soviet Encyclopedia, second edition. 1955 (37,5х29 см plate).
- “The Cinchona tree” – illustration to the “The Cinchona tree” essay from volume 46 of The Big Soviet Encyclopedia (Fusa-Tzuruga), second edition. 1957 (40х28 см plate).
- The description text of “Comedy” CA performance, 1977 (36,7х30 см plate).
- “Felling trees with a chainsaw” – illustration to the “The chainsaw” essay from volume 46 of The Big Soviet Encyclopedia (30х19,5 см plate).
- Portrait of Joliot-Curie from essay “Joliot-Curie” (French physicist) from volume 16 of The Big Soviet Encyclopedia, 1952 (11,7х9 см plate).
- “Raising virgin soil in a sovhoz “Ishimsky” (tractor in the fields)”, – illustration to the “North Kazahstan region” essay from volume 38 of The Big Soviet Encyclopedia (10,5х10 см plate).
- Fragment from the novel by G.Martinov “Guest from chasm” (1951-1961) (38,3 х 20,5 см plate).
- Portrait of academic N. V.Tzitzin (soviet botanist and selectionist) from essay “Tzitzin” from volume 46 of The Big Soviet Encyclopedia, (7,7 х 9,5 см plate).
- “Ploughing virgin soil. Ubinsky district of Novosibirsky region” (tractor in the fields)”, – illustration to the “Siberia” essay from volume 38 of The Big Soviet Encyclopedia (11,5х10 см plate).
- “Khanty-hunter” - – illustration to the “Khanty” essay from volume 46 of The Big Soviet Encyclopedia (30х21 см plate).
The boards were left in the field.
