A series of 10 photographs of underground market stalls (9 stalls from the underground passage by the southern exit of the VDNKh metro in 2008 and 1 stall from the underground transfer by the “Serpukhovskaia” metro in 2011), sized 80 x 59 cm each (mounted on foam-board) were hung on trees in the forest near the Kievogorsky Field, to the east of the clearing with the buried books (from the action Library, 1997).
After hanging the photographs, we used a ladder to take down the green circle with the number 113 used in the action Translation-3 (it had been hanging since 4.12.2009 on a tree growing in the middle of the “library” clearing at: 56.2.3954 N; 37.27.2133 E).
Immediately after this, the photographs of the market stalls were removed from the trees (and taken back to Moscow along with the circle), while the audience was given factographic photographs sized 13 x 18 cm with an image of AM’s bookshelf surrounded by 4 montaged photographs from the documentation of the action Panitkov’s Progress (central control room: Trips Out of Town).
The second part of the action took place on 10.24.2011 and concluded with AM’s video-passage – entitled From the South to the North-East – along the corridor with the market stalls at the Savelovsky computer market (the passage was recorded on video using a Sony DSC-HX9/HX9V camera; the length of the passage (the corridor with the market-stalls) was 500 meters and took 5 minutes and 33 seconds to traverse; the corridor is located next to the Savelovsky train station, along the traintracks, where the trips to the Kievogorsky Field used to originate). The video is available to be viewed at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlqzOdZ3im0 on the podjachevdva channel.
