OUR ANTHILLS
Performance
1982 summer
Place: a wood near Piligino, Novgorod region, A.Z.’s native land
Material: 3 found anthills, 3 paper slogans (“Our Anthill is the best”, “Our Anthill is the largest”, “Our Anthill is the happiest”), sugar, human body.
Duration: june-august
3 adjacent anthills were chosen and a series of experiments (caused no damages to neither ants, nor environment) was carried out: a dialogue between human body and insects’collective body; dialogues and/or competition between the anthills which were provoked by putting the anthills in different unequal situations (for example, with sugar) and so on.
