“Aspex” gallery. Portsmouth.
Duration: 1 hour during the opening of the exhibition “The Gateway European project”.
Material: canvas, state-pencil, soft-tip pens.
Audio: the wash.
On the floor of the gallery there is a large canvass in the form of a foot covered with archetypical symbols (crosses, swastikas, mogendovids, stars, squares, circles etc.). The artists sit on the canvass in the free of symbols place reacting on the soft-tip pencil strokes (red-blue) of each other. In the end one of the spectators wiped the symbols and signs with his body thus putting the end to the contemplative game of the artists which was contrary to the audience expectations.
